“The Mission of People Reaching People (PRP) is to transform lives and make disciples of Jesus Christ by serving the poorest of the poor in Eastern Africa through economic, educational and evangelistic developments.”

Bishop Todd and Revd Patsy McGregor have been working in Madagascar and East Africa since 1991.

Jesus’ “Great Commission” of Matthew 28:19-20 has always been central to their ministry: Making disciples, baptising, and teaching among some of the poorest of the poor in Eastern Africa.

Throughout their ministry, there have been many occasions when visitors from the US and Europe have made trips to visit and contribute to the ministry. This has varied from helping build a brand new rural church, to coaching soccer in schools, to giving pastors and lay leaders some simple leadership training.

The key has always been for the ‘vacationers’ to bring their passion and skill, and to share with local indigenous Christians.

This informal contact has started to be called a ‘Vacation With A Purpose’, and this web site is here to give more information to potential ‘Vacationers’.
